Well, Summer is officially here!! The weather is beautiful with the sun shining and only a light breeze passing through town. The Tongariro is flowing at 25.8m3/sec and is in great condition. Both nymphing under an indicator or dry fly has been very productive the last few days and wetlining has been producing the odd fresh lake run rainbow.
The last few warm evenings have brought on some pretty good evening rise sessions on the Tongariro with a Parachute Adams being very effective earlier in the night while the ever-famous Sporting Caddis has been deadly after dark.
We have received a full top up of Yeti drinkware including the hot new 'rescue red' colour option, sure to make you stand out from the campground crowd this summer. Indie is already in the Christmas spirit, and she agrees that these would make a great gift.
The weather for the weekend is looking pretty good so be sure to get out on the river or lake and enjoy the great fishing we have on offer at the moment.
