Myself and Hayley took an incredible trip with Pat Swift out of the Taupo region on Thursday, for us to further our jigging skills and learn the intricacies, tips and tricks to finding and targeting smelting fish while jigging. Pat's incredible hard-earned knowledge, invaluable experience & his famous reputable killer flies saw us into many great conditioned fish. The Grey Ghost was the fly of the day, catching most of the fish. Come see us in-store so we can share the knowledge with you for jigging Lake Taupo.
Yesterday Josh and I braved the rain & fished the Delta at the Tongariro mouth with our varying Fathom sinking lines and white smelt imitation booby flies and found a few healthy good conditioned fish feeding in the rip. Another very welcome start to the winter season!
