Tongariro River Flow: 25.8m3/sec
Weather: Clear Skies and colder temperatures with an easterly breeze.

Without much rain lately the rivers are all sitting pretty low and clear which has made fishing tricky. However, the fresh fish that have been caught in the Tongariro have been of good condition and large average size with plenty of reports of rainbows pushing 6lb. Most of these fish seem to be falling to swinging streamers on the lower parts of the river in the first few hours of light. Better numbers of fish have been seen coming through the Waitahanui, Hinemaiaia and Tauranga-Taupo but with clear waters these fish have often been quite skittery.

Some new products have hit the shelves here at Sporting Life including the Lonely Track Rustla 5-peice Fleece Pack available for both adults and kids. These affordable 5-peice packs make for a great addition to the wardrobe as we head into the colder months of winter! Keep an eye out for the rest of the adult's range to be instore shortly. We have also just restocked all of our nets with McLeans Weigh Nets in the colour of your choice and more affordable Kilwell and Black Magic nets too!
