Fine and sunny start to the morning this morning here in Turangi.  No wind as of 8:45am.  The Tongariro is fishable.

Been flat out with the school holidays so haven't had much time to touch the computer !! We've got the NZ school holidays going on as well as the Ozzy ones.

Had quite a few families from both countries turn up which is good to see. The Adults look as pleased to be heading to Turangi for the fishing as the kids do !

Most anglers through the shop are reporting catching fish in the Tongariro. A mixture of flies used from the nymphers.  Some switching between glo bugs and pheasant tails.

Wetliners are preferring Orange Rabbits and Dark Olive woolly buggers.

The odd few reports from trollers indicate not much down this end of the Lake, the odd spent fish being hooked with a few smaller ones in there. Most taking out Green / Gold cobras, Black and Gold Toby, Orange and Black Toby.

A few anglers are having a crack at the jigging.  This may possibly pick up some better fish.

Few reports from Lake Otamangakau and Lake Kuratau which opened yesterday.
