Overcast.  Warm. No wind as of 9:00am. The Tongariro is clear and fishable.

A few reports in the last couple of days of anglers picking up fish on the dry in the Tongariro. The sun worked its magic and caused a little bit of activity. Seems like very small dries are the go.  This may change with a couple of days of rain forecast.

Quite a few tiddler rainbows are still getting hooked but in amongst them are some good sized browns.

Also some good reports from the river mouths once again with some good numbers of fish hooked but still quite a few skinny ones reported.  Anglers are saying how warm the lake water is and the fish must be seeking the cooler water of the rips.

Reports from the boaties indicate some better fish down quite deep.
