Overcast start to the morning with mist, clearing to sunshine later in the day.  All rivers are still clear after the rain of yesterday. There was some good soaking rain but since it has been so dry this just seemed to have been absorbed into the ground and the only good it will do is make the grass grow !

Reports have indicated that the level of Lake Taupo has dropped down in recent weeks which is making the rips worth a go. A few reports of some nice fish sneaking into the rivers. Hinemaiaia reported as having 3 rips and also anglers are able to drive out to the Waimarino Mouth.
