Overcast with light rain falling. No wind as of 9:00am. The Tongariro is flowing at a highly fishable 29.5 cumecs. This is looking really nice to fish this morning.  Some good rainbows have come out of the Tongariro already this morning using glo bugs and caddis.

This rain is just in the nick of time for those heading this way for the School Holidays. It should keep the fish moving up the rivers and hopefully keep a touch of colour to the rivers.

Plenty of fish getting caught by those heading out and having a go. Best you spend less time working and more time fishing ;-)

For those anglers who like to explore, the tracks have been trimmed and are looking good for access along the Tongariro.

Andrew headed out to have a look at the Waimarino Mouth this morning. He managed to drive along the beach until the corner before the mouth and said it got a bit muddy and not for 2WD.

(Below) Andrew out doing his morning report for the Sporting Life Turangi Facebook Page this morning. The river is looking a nice olive colour and would be well worth a fish !  Feels like a bit of snow may be falling in the hills.
