Overcast with light drizzle falling at times here in Turangi this morning. No wind as of 9:00am.  The Tongariro and other rivers are fishable this morning.

I managed to secure the long weekend off so missed out on the comings and goings of the fishing fraternity over this time. Andrew said on Sunday he counted 120 anglers on the Tongariro between the Braids and the Hydro. This was quite busy which is good to see. The weather would have been fantastic for anglers over the weekend with a few cold fingers due to some good frosts. Will have to gather more intelligence to see how anglers went.

(Below) Looking across Lake Taupo to the central plateau volcanoes over the long weekend. A good dusting of snow to cool the mountains down ready for the up-coming ski season.
