Overcast with steady rain falling. No wind as of 10:00am.  The Tongariro is highly fishable and flowing at about 30 cumecs. Ideal conditions for both the nymphers and the wetliners.

Seen a few Dad's and kids turn up for the holidays which is good.  Most looking to head up the mountain or to head to the Tokaanu Thermal Hotpools or cycle the Tongariro River Trail.

Another great place to take the kids is to the Tongariro National Trout Centre.  It is good for the kids to have a look around and a great chance for them to see and feed some fish. Also keep an eye on their Children's Fishing Days.
