Overcast with steady rain falling at times. No wind as of 9:00am.  The Tongariro has dropped to a highly fishable level of 40 cumecs from the flood of yesterday.  Pete said the river looked good to fish this morning. He said it was starting to become an olivey green and you could see into knee deep water.  These are perfect conditions to swing a wetfly and bang out the glo bugs on the nymph.

Just after the flood like we had yesterday it might be worth giving the green or white caddis nymph a flick as well.

(Above) No one fishing below the S.H.1 road bridge at 1:00pm today ????  How come??  Ideal river conditions to fish in though ??

(Below) The river is a highly fishable 40 cumecs and few anglers out and about taking advantage of perfect conditions.

(Below) The water has a greeny colour to the deeper parts but is basically clear on the edges. Where's all of the anglers ???  Any volunteers want to step in to work for me while I take advantage of these awesome conditions ???
