Overcast with rain yet again !! No wind as of 10:00am. The Tongariro is up slightly again today.

More reports of fish rising to Mayflies mid afternoon and also more reports of fish rising towards the evening in the Tongariro.  Mostly Mayflies at this stage but the Caddis will usually be a little later in the month / next month.  Would still be worth giving a caddis nymph a burn in the river though.

Quite a few more recovering fish are now showing up as well.

Reports from trollers at the Southern end of Lake Taupo indicate some nice fish but much smaller than earlier in the year. In amongst these smaller fish are still some good sized ones as well.  Try Green Orbit flies if harling or black and gold tobys / green and gold toby with red spots,  with the odd pink lure thrown in the mix.

(Below) Graham Hamilton called into the shop yesterday and said he struggled a bit at the Delta but did quite well trolling on the way home.  This was a good sized rainbow that he landed.
