Fine and a light frost to start the day here in Turangi today. Some high cloud.  No wind at this stage.  All rivers are fishable.

Brrrr we look to have now moved into Winter with these frosts.  The barometer has shot up higher over night as well. Yesterday we had a Southerly wind here that almost cut you in half with the cold !  A few anglers flagged the fishing on the Tongariro yesterday due to the biting wind (possibly sensible if you have a cold coming on).

Below is a report thanks to the Delta King.  He writes:

Ps -- 5 outings recently, score 1 catfish and 1 nice hen from the delta. Maybe I should take up bowls??

(Below) Here is a little bit of delayed coverage from a few weeks ago.  This is Robert holding a rainbow he landed in the Tongariro.  Robert called into the shop to hire some equipment and had never fished here before. The photo and smile say it all !!  Robert writes:

Hey Guys how are you? Thanks for the good support at my fly fishing trip in Turangi.
