Fine and sunny here in Turangi again today. A slight breeze as of 11:00am.  This may increase later in the day.  All rivers are fishable.

Well, only another day or two and Jens heads off back home so it will mean I have to get out and snag a few lips ... can't let Jens and Andrew get them all ;-)

We have had quite a few overseas anglers through the shop over the last week keeping us busy.  Most are generally heading out for the evening rise which looks to still be producing fish. 

A few reports of some smaller juvenile rainbows starting to take flies now ( in the past I have referred to these as Sammy The Sardine or River Rodents ).  They are great fun but sometimes become a bit of a pest as they will readily take your fly before a bigger fish has the chance to grab the flies. 

Anglers are now enjoying wet wading as temperatures have been "Summer" temperatures for a change ... a few using neoprene waders have almost collapsed due to dehydration !
