Overcast, no wind in Turangi as of 9:00am this morning.  The Tongariro is flowing at about 40 cumecs which is a fishable level. Should be great for either wetlining or nymphing.

The river came up yesterday for the recreational release.  Some good reports from anglers of "catching" as the levels came up.  The river ended up at about 50-55 cumecs and when Andrew looked at it around lunchtime said it was looking good.

The Boss was out and about yesterday and checked out the Hinemaiaia River and the Tauranga-Taupo River. Both looked great for fishing yesterday.

(Above) This was the Hinemaiaia River yesterday.  It looked nice and clear.

(Below) The Mouth of the Tauranga-Taupo River yesterday. The lake level is really high at present.

(Below) A little bit of delayed coverage from the other week.  Ahhhh the joys of small river fishing ..... Andrew plucking flies out of bushes !! It happens to the best of us ! It usually seems that when fly fishing your flies usually catch anything and everything apart from a fish !!
