Overcast with light drizzly, misty rain falling. Andrew has been down to the river first thing this morning and reported the Tongariro highly fishable with no one fishing it. No wind at this stage. We had some good heavy rain overnight and the barometer has dropped.  This should move some nice fresh fish into the river.

I received this email and photos yesterday thanks to the Tongariro National Trout Centre from the Tongariro Roll Casting clinic held on Sunday.

Hi There

I have attached some pics of the Herb Spannaghl Roll Casting Clinic –

Also – we will be having a Kids Fishing Day on Wednesday 5th October (2nd week of the school holidays) and also the Sunday 23rd October (Labour Weekend).

Many thanks
