Fine and sunny start to the day here in Turangi today. A BIG frost which was pretty chilly to greet the new day. No wind as of 9:00am. The Tongariro is highly fishable.

Plenty of anglers around over the weekend which was good to see. Usual story .... some catchin .... some just fishin !

Some good fish look to have moved with the rain that we got on Friday and Saturday. Some very nice browns caught in the rivers.

Just had Bill Grace in the shop who said the Delta would be worth a look.  The Lake level has dropped quite a bit and some good rips are forming.

(Below) A little bit of delayed coverage thanks to some of our "West Island" cousins who looked to have had a bit of fun just before Lake Otamangakau closed for the season.

Hi Jared
You might recognize my shy friend Anthony from his recent visit!
The 8lber was from Big O last week before closure, the other location obvious!!

Keep the reports up, it keeps us Aussies sane!

(Below) Mmmm what fly should I try here ? I've already tried 20 different patterns already and that pesky fish still hasn't taken anything !! Mind you ... I did catch something ... the bush behind me ;-)
