Another fine sunny start to the day today but there is a brisk cool S / SE wind. All rivers are clear and fishable. Some anglers from Napier / Hastings way are turning up amazed that we have clear rivers.  As I have said in the past if the rivers are low and clear they are "ALWAYS" fishable.

Just remember the recreational release today as this may put some colour into the Tongariro but this will generally benefit the anglers who think the river is "too clear".

11:00am Not too sure what's happening but it looks like the planned release hasn't happened yet ?

Over the last few days it appears from the feedback that I have been getting is that some of the wetliners seem to be getting some very nice fresh fish. Orange or Red Rabbits along with the olive woolly bugger are reported doing well.
