Fine and sunny and a HUGE frost to start the day today.  No wind as of 9:00am.  All rivers are fishable. Wow !! It was white this morning on the ground.  My thermometer was registering -2.4 degrees celcius at 8:00am.

We've had a few anglers in the store already this morning who are rugged up and ready for some action ... in their nice toasty warm and thick neoprene waders.

Anglers are still reporting some great fishing with some cracker fish. Most anglers this year have caught fish and the fish have been in good condition right through the Autumn.  We still haven't hit the Spring yet !

The wetliners seem to have been doing well using gold bead woolly buggers.

A reminder that you may now go online to purchase your new season Taupo Fishing Licences which start on the 1st July. Click on the link below and follow the process. Remember that you will need to click the box that you are a Resident or Non Resident first.

This email came in on Sunday thanks once again to Seth Fasher who was out and about last Friday.  Seth usually does quite well on the browns. Seth writes:

Spent a few hours on Friday to try to get some fish for the smoker, ready for some mates arrival.   Tongariro never disappoints does it!
Kept 3 Fatties- Released 3 Fatties.
Have a great week guys
