Snow on Pihanga and the Kaimanawas this morning. Such a lovely sight to see, and as we know when there is snow there is generally cold and there is a slight chill in the air, but the sun is shining (Just as I right this the sun hides behind a cloud). Hope it stays out shining and gives the anglers a little warmth out in the river.

Tongariro along with the rivers to Taupo have a small amount of colour in them but according to the Big Cheese, its clearing and will be lovely to fish in, in the coming days. Although I have heard that the river has been busy all week! So the fish are still biting.

Glo-Bugs have continued to be popular along with the naturals. I am sure you have noticed that there is a great mix in standards of fish being caught, some have been in the water for a while now and they are loosing condition while other fish that are being caught are looking good.

One of our local anglers has sent in a few photos from a few days of fishing. He is always so happy to tell me how quickly he can catch a fish! Below are some photos of his catches in the last few days, he and his bud caught.

Sethanator and his buds catch one day

And another days catch for Sethy Boy.
