Fine with some cloud about to start the day here in Turangi today. A bit of a blustery SW wind.  The Tongariro River conditions are highly fishable with it being clear and running at about 22.4 cumecs.

Neil went for a bit of a stroll up to the Tauranga-Taupo River a couple of days ago.  He reported that the tracks were nice and clear and a lot of work had been done on getting them up to scratch and tidy.  The river had a spot of colour to it which he enjoyed.  He landed this rather nice looking rainbow.  Some good runs have moved up the river already and numbers should continue to build as we head towards the Spring.

A reminder that Lake Otamangakau has closed for the season and will re-open 1st October 2021.

Lake Kuratau remains open until 30th June 2021 and will re-open 1 October 2021

Lake Rotoaira remains open until 30th June 2021 and will re-open 1 September 2021
