Fine and sunny start to the day here in Turangi today. It was 10 degrees celcius outside this morning at about 7:45am.  The nip in the air was feeling very Autumnal.  The Tongariro is clear and fishable and flowing at about 22.5 cumecs.  I was out camping just out of town over the weekend and woke up on Sunday morning to see about a 2mm thick frost on the windscreen of the car !!!!!! Just a tad chilly. The next morning was much warmer. Looks like a good run of weather for the next week for those wanting to get out and have a fish either out on Lake Taupo boat fishing or those in the river.

The cicadas should be chirping like crazy along the riverbank now.  The next week or two should be worth hitting with a Cicada dry fly.
