Fishing Reports

Monday 4th October

Highly Fishable

The rain is back in Turangi today! The river has come up slightly to just under 33 cumecs so it will be in great shape for a fish . The evening rise is slowly getting into gear, Andrew and I shot out yesterday evening to swing some wee wets and we managed a couple of nice rainbows during the 10 minute window when the mayflies were really popping off. It can only get better from here so its a great time to start preparing the fly box with some mayfly dries and emergers.

Pete landed this nice fish on his Redington Claymore 3 weight trout spey combo, there are still plenty of beautifully conditioned fresh fish coming through and this rain will have helped get a few moving so the next few days are shaping up to be good!
