Fine and sunny start tot he day here in Turangi today.  Some just had a light shower pass through the Shopping Mall as of 10:00am.  Getting quite cold too. Feels like it is trying to snow. A “Sharp” knife cutting breeze blowing through the town. The Tongariro is flowing at 26.9 cumecs and is in a highly fishable condition.

The majority of anglers passing through the shop yesterday had reported great fishing and catching fish.  Reports of some very nice conditioned fish being caught.  Some good reports still coming through from the river mouths too.

Nymphers taking out glo bugs, hare and coppers, green caddis, flashback pheasant tails, flashback hares ears.  Gone pretty quiet with the wetliners as most appear to be nymphing at the moment however with the wind that we are having, swing some flies. You should catch some great conditioned fish on the wet fly.  Try Red or Orange Rabbits, Olive wooly bugger, Orange beaded Olive Woolly Buggers, Brown Woolly Buggers and even the good old fashioned Red Setter.

Start of the School Holidays today. We could get quite busy this weekend. The shop has been pretty busy all week.
