Fine and sunny start to the morning here in Turangi yet again with another nice blue sky.  The wind is a little bit blustery but not too badat this stage but may increase later in the day.  This windy summer reminds me of a youngster growing up here in Turangi.  We had a few like this as I was growing up here.  The wind would blow so much that it would really irritate you after a few weeks.  All the rivers are clear and fishable.

Still some very good reports from the boaties out on Lake Taupo … seems to be Spotted Dog Tassie Devil, Baby Brown Tassie Devil, Spotty Gold Cobra, Traffic Light Cobra and Black and Gold Toby lures have been the popular ones over the last few days if you have been trolling.

It has been fairly calm first thing in the morning so would suggest to get out on the Lake right on day break.  Also fishing on the Tongariro will be much nicer early in the morning with the lack of wind.
