Fine and sunny start to the day here in Turangi today. Temperatures in the morning have dropped quite a lot now … still quite warm in the middle of the day though.  Shadows are growing longer as we head to the Equinox.  Daylight Savings changes over in a few weeks 🙁

We’ve been busy in the shop with the Commonwealth Fly Fishing Team members coming and going. They are practicing, waiting until the competition starts next week.

Other anglers have been doing quite well using the Passion Vine Hopper dry flies. The fish are still rising readily throughout the day.  Other anglers are targeting the browns after dark and picking up some nice fish.

While the weather is good it might be worth looking at having a fly fish at the Delta using white booby’s and smelt flies.  Some of the early running rainbows might be starting to gather at the mouth ready to look at running.
