The action on the water only continues to get better and better with the evening rise providing some great action last night for myself and Andrew. Neil was out and about on the river chasing fish in the shallow stuff with a dry dropper and finding some beautiful rainbows and browns. This spell of warm weather has really kicked things off with insect life in the evenings absolutely humming which is a very promising sign of things to come. Fingers crossed the cicadas play ball later in the year! As has been the case for us in the past few weeks, a small dry (Parachute Adams, Category 3 Moondance etc) with a small Hare and Copper/Pheasant Tail in a #14 roughly 2-3ft underneath the dry in the shallower runs and riffles has been producing fish and we are starting to see more and more fish coming up for the dry so if you’re over watching an indicator all day this is a great option to try out. Come in and see us in store and we can show you how we rig up our setups and get you on the water and into the action!
We have just received a shipment of Patagonia shirts, hoodies and hats and with Christmas fast approaching they will make some great presents as well as looking good on the river. We have very limited stock so get in quick!
