Fishing Reports

Highly Fishable
Cloudy
12km/h
22.5m3/s

The rains have eased off for a bit at the moment and the Tongariro is sitting at 25 cumecs after a small spike to 26. Not a massive increase but she got a slight bit of colour.

Mixed reports on the fishing from anglers through the shop. A group of Aussie Anglers who were guided on the Tongariro were in the shop loading up on large dry fly patterns, Stimulators and Cicadas after having a ball landing good fish the day before. River mouths are still reporting as being quiet but this could change fairly quickly over the coming days.

I touched on some of the Fly Fishing travel adventures I have coming up in the reports a few days ago and I have one that if you are interested in joining us. Myself and Jason Cochrane who I fished in Aitutaki with recently will be heading to Cuba in February of 2020, the land of Havana Rum, Salsa Dancing, Classic Cars, Cigars and most Importantly, Flats Fishing for Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon. It has been a dream trip of mine for a long time and welcome you to join us. It will be 7 nights with 6 full days of fishing with 2 anglers to a guide.  It will be an awesome trip and you have plenty of time to save so flick me an email to a.burdenflyfishing@gmail.com if you would like to make the journey or just want more info.

See you at Sporting Life Fishing Outfitters – Turangi
