Fishing Reports

Tuesday 14th May 2019

Highly Fishable
Mostly cloudy
13km/h
22.5m3/s

There is a nice colour to the Tongariro after yesterdays increased flow.

I fished my lunch break and picked up a couple silver rainbows on the Euro Setup taking the olive, gold bead pheasant tail.

The early morning reports from anglers coming in to get geared up was a mixed bag with 1 group having a blast landing strong fighting rainbows on the wetline running different rabbit patterns and others have been in havingĀ  a struggle finding willing hook hungry fish.

The rains look like they have buggered off for a while again so we are not expecting another increase to the river flows but I am expecting some good fishing over the next few days.

See you at Sporting Life Fishing Outfitters – Turangi
