Highly Fishable

Spring has done it yet again here today with polar opposites to yesterdays weather, we’ve had some rain overnight and this morning with overcast conditions looking to set in for the rest of the day. The fishing has continued to go well with big numbers of fish seen yesterday by the boys as they had a great session swinging flies on the lower reaches. The website has been getting plenty of new products added lately too with Simms waders now available for purchase through our online store, with more being added daily.

A reminder for all the Auckland readers, our competition is still running! Write a story and email it to about your favourite day fishing the Tongario or any of the other of the Central Plateau rivers between Turangi and Taupo. The more photos you supply with the email the more bonus points. Enter Sporting Life Comp in the subject heading when you send it through. You can check our Facebook page out for more info, and to check out the different prize packs we have available. We will be running this comp until Auckland is out of lockdown and you can join us back on the water here, we are looking forward to seeing you all!

Theresa and Andrew shot up to Otamangakau yesterday evening for a look, and Theresa quickly got on the board with a nice fish before the wind died off and the action stopped! It is only going to get better as the season progresses, so come and see us and we will get you geared up to chase some of the trophy fish it is renowned for.
