It is looking fabulous in Turangi today but every day is like that here…..the car had solid frost on the roof and now a fog is creeping through town so it should be a beautful sunny day. I’m sure anyone lucky to be lookingout and about fishing the area or walking the river tracks will have a cracker day. We saw photos of some very nice Rainbows yesterday and with the weather for the coming week looking mostly sunny with light winds if you can get here then do it.
The Tongariro is flowing a 37cumecs which will make it very fishable today. In the bright clear conditions smaller naturals will be the go but don’t discount glowbugs early and late. I’m seeing more anglers getting into the two handed casting and they are doing really well swinging through the bigger pools, there will be demonstrations at the Flyfest on the 10th August so come along and check it out. Accommodation is filling fast so best to get onto.
Jared and I will be on deck today.
