The team has had an awesome couple of days out and about, and with Labour weekend upon us the fishing is firing so for those of you who can make it here there are plenty of fish willing to take whatever offering you have! Both the lake and river has been fishing well, with the lake in lovely condition this morning and a few boats out there early. We have had reports of success from boaties harling in close with plenty of smelting fish being seen already. Our good customers Lonny and Sara were out yesterday with Sara nailing this beautiful 7.5lb brown on a Tasmanian Devil in Bengal Tiger harling in close, well done Sara that is a great fish!

AB shot out yesterday morning with Tony on the lake for a crack at the delta and a bit of trolling, then we finished off the day with a shop outing after work to test some new lines and rods. Plenty of yarns were spun, there were a few fish brought to the net and a couple of cold ones consumed so a great evening all round. Neil has been doing well on the browns lately too with another beauty this morning, they are turning up in numbers now so the next few months are shaping up to be awesome! The river has been going off as well, with the evening rise now consistently happening especially in that last 20 minutes before dark. A Kakahi Queen in size 12 was the winner again for me last night, and I’m sure will keep producing as it always does!

We will be open all weekend including Monday if you need to stock up on supplies, our hours will be 8.30am-5.30pm Saturday and Monday, and 9.30am-5pm on Sunday. For those of you who can make it we look forward to seeing you in town, we are crossing our fingers for the rest of you still in level 3 that we get some good news and we can get back out on the water with you soon!
