Fine and sunny start to the day here in Turangi this morning. No wind as of 9:30am. This is expected to get up later in the day and come from the East. All rivers are clear and fishable.
I’ve just had a week or so off on holiday so haven’t really kept up with the fishing but it appears from Neil that Passion Vine Hoppers are the go at the moment. Fishing these as a dry fly would be worthwhile. The Passion Vine Hoppers have been in plague proportions this year. I have also heard quite a few of the Black Crickets chirping as well.
It will take me a few days to get back into the swing of things and catch up on what I have missed out on over the last few weeks.
