Highly Fishable

Overcast with steady rain falling as of 9:00am this morning.  No wind as of 9:00am.  As of 9:00am the Tongariro River is currently highly fishable and flowing at 32.4 cumecs.

Well, today is an interesting day.  Change is in the air.  It is the end of an era today in more ways than one 😉  After 36 years of being here at Sporting Life, Kath and Graham have decided to call it Time Out. I am sure many of you will have had fond memories over these years. They have watched your children grow, who are also now having their children. Many stories have been listened too and told.  A great effort to be in a Family business for so long. They thank you for your support over these years.  In the words of the Two Ronnies:

It’s Good Night from Me and Good Night from Him

(Above) Many of you will recognize Graham and Kathy.

(Below) A picture from a few years ago around the time it all began.  Many of you will also remember Denver the Labrador.  He used to sit at the shop door and greet all of the customers.  I am sure he lived to a great age due to all of the pats he used to get !

(Below) Sherrie landed this 5.7lb Rainbow on the lake Sunday.

(Above & Below) Neil was out and about on the Tongariro River yesterday and looked like he got a nice matching pair.  A rainbow in the picture above and brown in the picture below.

(Below) Christian Asher did well on the river early Sunday with a nice brace.

Message for Finn …. thanks for the flies.  Got them, they look great. Cheers J Rod
