Follow red link above for video report from the river.

It’s been a really good last few days on the water and lunch break has continued to produce. I have fished the Delta from the boat with the Fast Ink line and a booby, Czech Nymphed the rivers and today swung Woolly Buggers on the Trout Spey Gear and been into good fish on each occasion.

At the end of today’s video I dropped the phone onto the water to get a glimpse of a couple of fish that followed me the whole way down the Hydro Pool eating the Nymph Life my footsteps stirred up.

An Orange Bead Olive Woolly Bugger did the trick for me today.

I copped a bit of light rain which according to the forecast is going to get heavier over the next couple of days. Hopefully there is a flow increase that sustains for a while but either way I have had a good time on the Cental Plateau fishery.

Myself and a Pete are in the shop today. Pete is busy tying flies for his upcoming trip to Aitutaki chasing Bonefish.

Pop in and say g’day and get yourself geared up.
