Overcast start to the day here in Turangi this morning.  A good frost to greet the curtain openers. No wind as of 10:00am.  The Tongariro is clear and fishable and flowing at about 22.1 cumecs.

Some anglers are reporting other anglers catching some rather large fish in the Tongariro that are in great condition.

Anglers have been seeing a lot of Birds working the water. These must have been feeding on some really teeny insects.  Some of the nymphers are going teeny in their flies to possibly match the teeny size of the bugs.

(Below) Neil was out and about before work this morning and took this picture of a couple of anglers below the S.H.1 road bridge. He said there was one above the Bridge too. The weather looks to be on the change.  Could we be in for some rain over the next week?  If we do and we get a pressure drop we should see some fish move into the rivers.

(Below) The following pictures were from my roam on Tuesday.  Can any of you guess where this is on the Tongariro ?

(Above & Below) Here is another one of those places to guess ?  I really love the colour of the water in the picture below with the white foaming water.
