☀ Good Morning from a Sunny Turangi ☀

Parts of the Central Plateau received a good dumping of rain yesterday while some isolated spots remain dry. The Tongariro had a brief flow increase but has since dropped to 29.5m3/s
The Tongariro brown trout continue to provide good times all round! Pat went out for a morning mission with Andrew and got into a few well conditioned fish, one being the first on the fly for Pat, so bloody well done!! Swinging nymphs and fishing dry dropper has been working very effectively during the day, and swinging large black flies at night has also been doing the damage. For more advice come into Sporting Life Turangi and have a chat with the team 🎣

River mouth/lake edge fishing is still firing with smelt and koura patterns working well yesterday !
There’s plenty of these well conditioned rainbows around the lake.
