It's currently a warm 19°C day in Turangi and Neil is currently having a ball on the dry dropper with the usual suspects: the Category 3 Woomfah in black, with a Hare & Copper below it and so far, he has pulled up a couple of recovering bows and a lovely brown as a bonus! Good stuff Shop Dad!
There was a decent mayfly rise yesterday evening followed by a brief caddis hatch and going by the number of wee wets leaving the shop it's obvious to us that it's all on! It's definitely a favourite time of the day to fish for all of us here at Sporting Life.
A nice rainbow taken on the Category 3 Woomfah
Jess (One Scoop) has been busy entering in gear top ups for the boat anglers, so that should be available online and in store by tomorrow! Reports indicate that jigging is starting to pick up, so that's great news for those who are itching to get out there on the kayaks or boats.
I've just topped up the Tonic Eyewear range as they are a crucial piece of kit coming into this time of year when sight fishing becomes the preferred style of fishing for many. The polarised photochromic copper is a standout lens as it adjusts to different lighting conditions. The lens darkens in bright light conditions and when in duller or low light conditions they become lighter, this reduces eye strain and fatigue. You only get one set of eyes, so it pays to look after them.
