What a stunning start to the long weekend here in Turangi! Crispy cold with nary a breath of wind and not a cloud to be seen it is shaping up to be an awesome few days. The Tongariro is in beautiful condition with a tinge of colour, and from what I saw off of the state highway bridge there has been a few fresh fish move into the river along with the large resident browns that have definitely teased and frustrated a few anglers over the past few weeks!
Spot the nice rainbow! Swinging happily munching on nymphs early this morning with not an angler in sight...
We have just had a huge delivery of the awesome new Simms Winter clothing range so before you head out on the water come in store and get kitted up, having the right clothing is going to be increasingly more important the deeper we get into the colder months and can mean the difference between staying out in torrid conditions and landing that dream fish or not.
We have been adding up more and more products to the website every day, with the Magnum Wader range getting put up yesterday which will be very handy this winter when fishing the rips!
Riley came in this morning and purchased the very popular Guideline LPS 10' #4 Euro rod and Favo Reel and has put it straight to the test with this cracking fresh run rainbow, well done mate! Some really nice fish are around so we hope you can get out on the water this weekend and find some for yourself!
