Tongariro river flow: 33.9m3/sec
Current weather: 11°C ⛅
Flies to use: Gummer's Carpet Caddis, 101, Hare n Copper, Globug, olive wooly bugger.

The clear skies we have had over the last few days have come to a halt as cloud cover pushes through. We are expecting some rain by the weekend, so we will keep an eye on how it progresses. Globugs, bombs, caddis and hare n coppers are still hot for the nymphers as the wooly buggers and rabbit streamers are for the wetliners.

Yesterday the couple pictured above dropped by the shop for a bit of advice re: indicator rigs, reading water and fly selection, following on from a tough day on the water. Shortly after leaving the shop, they picked up a few stunning Tongariro rainbow trout and sent us these photos! Cheers guys!

I've been working on the fly-tying material inventory and have just topped up the tying thread, wire, tinsel, and mylar so the display is now near full!
