🔆🎣 13°C and Sunny 🎣🔆
It's a crisp day in Turangi! The sun is out and the gales experienced over the weekend have since passed. The Tongariro river is flowing clear at 21.6m3/sec and there's been some fantastic fishing reported during and after the fresh, with a majority of them being well conditioned rainbows along with the odd brown trout caught.
Carty is out there today with his trusty Claymore trout spey set up and I'd say he tied a fly which would be equally beautiful to the fish - if not more 😀Â
Nymphing has been going well today with some fish taking the egg and others the heavier nymph - often a caddis imitation. Fluorescent beaded flies are starting to take a place in the fly box with orange being a top pick, so if you tie your own check out the range here at Sporting Life. The fly tying wall is looking superb and should cover your needs whether it's for creativity, getting the job done or both!Â
