Monday 25th July 2022

The rain has arrived again in Turangi this morning with a grey and drizzly start to the day. Its looking like we are about to get another good deluge hitting us in the next day or so which should give the rivers a lift and hopefully keep the red hot action flowing! We have had some great reports on over the weekend with Karen and Kelly getting some fantastic fish to the net, well done ladies! Karen has been smashing some amazing quality fish on the two hander, its great to see more and more people giving the spey style fishing a go. If you want to have a crack at it yourself we have a full range of rods, reels and heads available instore and online - we also offer casting lessons instore so you can get yourself fully set and out there catching some chrome! Check out our range of two handed goodness here.

**PHONE FOUND**

If you have misplaced your phone fishing on the river over the weekend get in touch with the shop and we will get it back to you!

This week looks to be a busy one with the Brown Trout Club boys turning up for their annual competition and out of town angling clubs arriving for their club trips now that the school holidays are over. We look forward to seeing you all in store!

The Tongariro dropped back down to below 30 cumec but keep an eye on the level as this system moves its way through. The TT has been firing with the whole river holding great numbers of fish at times as they continue to move through - lots of anglers have been fishing up there though so be prepared for an early start if there is a particular section you want to fish.

We will keep you updated as to the river flows over the next few days, and hopefully a few fish pics to go along with it!
