Tongariro River Flow: 29.4m3/sec

Weather: Mostly Cloudy

Things are starting to warm up despite the wet weather, as it's a humid 16°C and according to the forecast more rain is on the way.

Claudio and I spent the weekend south of the Plateau with the intention to fish on Sunday but we woke up to find the rivers were all chocolate brown and flooded out. The Tongariro was the opposite seeing it peak to only 35.2m3/sec holding a slight tinge of colour to it. Andrew was out for a successful mission with the spey gear, picking up good numbers with some beauties amongst the spent fish.

In preparation for Summer we have more rabbit streamers for those targeting the smelting trout which also work well in the rivers. These are available in store, so come on in and grab a few.

Connor is currently processing the latest Black Magic top up, containing various boat and riverside tools.
