Tongariro River Flow: 26.1 m3/sec

Weather: Mostly Cloudy

The damp weather has returned to Turangi after the beautifully warm weather experienced over the weekend, anglers on the Tongariro and Tauranga-Taupo enjoying the opportunity to use lighter gear and sight fish feeding in the shallows. Claudio had a great midday session fishing dry/dropper and picking up fish on a green caddis nymph, his focus was fishing the edges of fast water where actively feeding fish were concentrated.

The evening rise has been very eventful for those who are fortunate to choose a location with a concentrated mayfly and caddis hatch.

Shop friend, Jaime spent time on the Plateau for her birthday weekend and had a successful time fishing and catching up with the team before heading back home.

Great stuff, Jaime!!

We have a full range of Umpqua packs on the display wall which are available online
