We have heard of some very satisfying fishing on lake and river. The shallow and clear conditions are challenging, so it's the perfect opportunity to upskill and catch yourself a memorable fish! It's encouraging to hear that many of you are trying various approaches to get a few into the net.
Harling on the lake has been going well for those willing to get out of bed and into the boat before dawn! It sounds like the early birds have been getting some good numbers of quality fish for the smoker.
As for the river, we have heard from anglers who were like those on the boats and got out there before the sunrise, fishing deep using small globugs and heavy flies to get them down. From what we heard it sounds there's fresh bows making their way through the system with speed, as one customer reported standing still on a bank, watching fish make their way upriver.
