Wetlining seems to be the go-to for anglers as there's been much talk about streamers, sinking lines, shooting heads and caged reels. If you are considering giving it a go then feel free to shoot forth any questions or come in and have a chat with the team. As for the nymphing, it has been great when water is covered, and utilisation of natural or small nymphs are used (think the Category 3 Gummer's Carpet Caddis, Habanero or Consultant Olive).
When the river is low and clear think of it as an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and experiment with smaller flies/indicators/tippet. The NZ Strike indicator tool system is a great way to improve your catch rate as it works well in the clear/low water as it can be adjusted, and indicator size can be altered to suit conditions.Ā
