Tongariro River Flow: 25.7m3/sec
Today's a bit gloomy and overcast with rain predicted later on, the rivers are still low after a little rain overnight. Heavy rain is forecasted for the remainder of the week and into the weekend which we hope will bring in a good run of fresh fish! There have been good reports of rainbows at the stream mouths, with fish being well conditioned and of a large average size. Anglers willing to fish the night have been seeing success on black streamers and lumo patterns as is the norm.
As winter draws near many anglers have been restocking gear in preparation, with the Strike Indicator yarn and tubing being very popular. These indicators are perfect for all applications here in Turangi and are very easy to slide up and down your leader. They'll support your heavy winter bombs with ease!
