The rain has returned but it's nothing to be concerned about as the flow remains low and clear. Neil is out fishing today with the spey gear, so we wait with anticipation for his report. Customers indicate that the fishing is slow but with changing locations and set ups fish are found, mostly recovering although the odd fresh fish caught. It sounds like a few brown trout are making their way up the Tongariro as young Jack, who spends time on the river during the school holidays described hooking one earlier and sadly losing it at the net 😲
Don't worry Jack! We have all been there before...
The next one will be bigger!
