LAKE ROTOARIA DUCK HARVEST THIS WEEKEND

As most are aware duck shooting season is starting and we have been asked by the Lake Rotoaira Trust to let anglers know that this weekend there will be a bird harvest taking place on Lake Rotoaira during the opening weekend of duck shooting season.

The harvest will occur within the area outlined in red on map (see below).

A team of 4 shooters will be operating on the lake on

Saturday 3rd May from 6am-6pm and

Sunday 4th May 6am-12 noon.

For safety reasons and out of respect for the harvest, Lake Rotoaria Trust requires that NO FISHING takes place in or near the outlined area during the above specified times and dates.

Lake Rotoaira Trust appreciates everyone's understanding and cooperation in helping them carry out this important cultural activity safely.
