The grey drizzle continues to blanket Turangi as was been the case for most of the day yesterday. We had a stream of happy anglers through the shop who had got amongst some beautiful fresh silver rainbows and the odd brown yesterday, however it was a case of Johnny on the spot with some pools holding pods of fresh fish and others appearing barren so keep moving around and once you have fished a pool move on to a new spot until you run into some fresh ones.
Simon Doran called into the shop to show the prize he has donated for the Central Plateau Women's fly fishing social tournament before heading out to have a crack on the Tongariro. If you are interested in entering the competition come and see Theresa and she can get you sorted, spaces are limited however so don't leave it too late - with prizes like this up for grabs it should be a great event!
We have just had a top up of Booby patterns from Pat Swift, and with the Delta beginning to fire they will start flying out the door particularly the white ones which we have been out of stock of for a few weeks now so be sure to get in quick!
