Tongariro River Flow: 21.2m3/sec

Weather: Sunny

The Tongariro has been getting quite low the last couple of weeks and are very clear so fishing during the day has been tricky for some anglers in the area, those who are doing well are keeping flies very small with hare and coppers being the favorite nymph for the past week. Dry fly action has taken off with reports of fish-eating cicada dries through the day and parachute Adams has been quite a popular dry fly right on dark.

The boat fishing has been quite the success with pat swifts' grey ghost and yellow lady being the best jigging flies at the moment. Trolling and harling keeping your spinners and tassie devils natural colours like browns and greens have been the way to go.

Memphis has had a ball out on the lake with some great jigging flies Hamish had suggested bringing up two stunning fish from the lake's depths.
